Out of Visegrad
Four organizations in Visegrad countries are involvedin the Out of Visegrad Project, which is focusing onmigration and V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary,Poland and Slovakia). This projects aims to ask andanswer questions such as: What is the perception ofmigrants from East in Western Europe? How is theeconomy of V4 countries influenced by bothout-migration and in-migration? Who are migrants fromthe V4 countries? We recommend you to see the BLOGS written by young Central Europeans in Western Europe.
One part of this project is also a common PUBLICATIONof the Polish and Hungarian anthropological magazinesop.cit and Anthropolis as well as themigrationonline. cz portal where articles, case studiesor interviews on “migration and V4 countries” will bepublished.For this publication we welcome submissions related tomigration and V4 countries including, but not limitedto, the following:- post – 2004 migration from Czech Republic, Hungary,Poland or Slovakia to the West or withinthe Visegrad region (e.g. from Slovakia to Hungary orCzech Republic)- the consequences of migration for regions andlocalities, motivations and strategies of migrants,the impact of migration in sending states, etc.- foreign direct investment (e.g. in car industry) andthe need for labour (including migrant labour) inCentral Europe- migration in political discourses- comparative studiesThe length of articles should be approximately 2500words.
