Museum for all of Denmark
The National Museum is Denmark’s largest museum of cultural history. The museum’s main domicile is a classical 18th century mansion just a stone’s throw from “Strøget” at the center of Copenhagen.
The National Museum is the museum for all Denmark, where you can follow the history of the Danes right down to the present day. And you can get around the world from Greenland to South America.
Brede Works – the factory in the countryside.
In what was once Denmark’s biggest textile factory in the 1800s, new technology has now been used to tell the story of working life at the cloth mill, the growth of industrial society and the welfare state.
The unique historic industrial plant Brede Works gives you an impression og a tightly-knit factory community with production buildings, workers´and master-craftmen´s homes, the factoryowner´s country home, a ‘dining house’, a day nursery for the children and a park.
